Once upon a time, not so long ago, the McDonald's name was virtually unknown in the UK. Back in 1974 our story in this country was just beginning, limited to our first restaurant on Woolwich High Street and the handful of people who created its success.

Now, with over 1200 restaurants in the UK and more than 30,000 across the world, we're a part of everyday life for most people. The quality, speed and value for money that we first introduced on that South London High Street haven't changed, but the individuals we have to thank have multiplied - and so have the opportunities.
